“The EU's flagship AI Act will come into force on 1st August. Two years after that date, virtually all producers, suppliers and deployers of AI systems in its scope will need to be compliant.”
The act only applies to "prohibited", "high-risk”, and "limited-risk" AI systems, so it may not apply to the GenAI and similar tools that have exploded in popularity recently.
