I am starting to feel actively upset about seeing content I didn’t sign up for in Mastodon, specifically with Ivory. I have to remember there are so many alternatives, but I’ve also been down that road before.

I sometimes feel we didn’t learn anything. That we are doomed to repeat the mistakes that made Twitter miserable. Content moderation is just part of it. For the same reason we need content blockers on the web, we need to not have apps forcibly show content we didn’t sign up for.
