My venerable DCP8065DN has been so dependable that it took me literal days to remember, yes, it has consumable parts and that might be why the prints look weird.
I now vaguely recall replacing the toner 12 years ago.
The onboard diagnostic estimates that the drum has 64% left.
This printer might outlive me.
