there was once a psychologist who targeted my wife at a social event, “innocently” suggesting they meet for counseling, where she (the counselor) tried to convince her without saying it directly, that her marriage was in trouble, and she had psychological handicaps, and the only solution was for her to pay her for long term counseling.

I made the choice to not tell my wife what to do, and let it play out. Because while my wife is gentle and child like on the outside, she has a razorblade intuition and a titanium spine. The counselor didn’t work out. We did.
