The modern financial system is a zero sum game
When you own stocks, you're very likely extracting wealth from a worker somewhere in the world
When you own residential real estate as rental properties, you are extracting wealth from anyone who needs to rent from you
Most people don't understand this
Eventually, the people who are having their wealth taken from them will realize they don't want to play the game anymore and they will stop participating in the system
It's already happening
Some people are already opting out of the current system because they don't want to work if the results they produce are all being taken away from them
Older generations will keep saying younger generations are lazy...
But I don't think it's laziness
I think it's people figuring out that this system is not sustainable, so they'll stop putting their time and energy into it
The current financial system is a Ponzi scheme
If newer generations don't participate in the stock market, what happens?
If companies can't get workers, what happens?
Current owners of "assets" need new generations to agree to being exit liquidity, either as renters or stock owners
More younger people are saying "fuck you" because THEY KNOW they can do everything right and still get screwed
They're buying assets OUTSIDE of the system and more people can't afford to buy a home so they're living in cars or with their parents
