Media outlets covering Trump really need to get comfortable using words like “unhinged” and “bizarre,” because saying a claim like this is “false” really doesn’t cover it, in the journalistic sense. It’s a normalizing and gross understatement, which is what the media has done with Trump for 10 years now. They never learn.
