I was just talking with a new client, a fellow Gen-X'er. She said what I've said all along -Gen X is not blameless when it comes to the cruel system imposed on middle to low-income earners in the US. Gen X was sold a bill of goods - greed is good, money is all that matters, work yourself to death, and only look out for #1. We didn't have to settle for that, but we did. Our complacency reinforced a culture that emphasizes profit over the common good. We could have fought it, but we didn't.
