That old robber baron put in a big yard around his mansion in Pittsburgh I believe. He wanted all that grassy field to remind him of his childhood in Scotland but there they have sheep to keep the grass mowed so he had to pay a gardener to keep it trim. And in keeping up with the Joneses everybody else then had to have a yard too which spawned this whole yard care industry and everyone having to mow their useless grass on Saturdays.
