I watched again "A Straight Story" by David Lynch. It's as good as I remembered it. It is a different story with people without too much luck in life.

I thought two moments were specially touching: when the teenager appeared and what Alvin told her about family, as well as her reaction the next day; and the personal story of Alvin's daughter, greatly played by Sissy Spacek.
