This is not good advice. As a security and privacy expert it would behoove everyone to take advantage of this as a first step toward compensation. They have yet to send out the coupon codes, but historically you do not have to agree to any terms to accept credit monitoring services in these situations. If there is an actual class action lawsuit, then you have to decide whether or not you want to be a part of the class or opt-out to pursue individual compensation.
