I made a composite of the April 8th total eclipse to give as holiday gifts this year.
I mostly like how this turned out, but I think it would flow better if the pre-total partial images were on the lower left, and the post-total images were on the upper right. That's a good visual representation of how time flows, right? However, the moon started eating the sun from the right, moving leftward. Arranging the partials that way just looked ... wrong. Like, fingernails on a blackboard levels of wrongness. So I went with the oddball right-to-left (temporally speaking) layout, which is also brain hurty, but not as bad.
Anyway, my wife informs me that these grievous flaws are visible only to me. #astrophotography
