I disagree. Israel has been under threat since its existence. Not supporting Bibi, but him being elected is a reaction to already-occurring violence. Israel was ready to give the Palestinians 98% of what they were asking for during the negotiations held during Clinton administration and their answer to that was to leave the talks and start the intifada. Countries have had that their sole goal regarding Israel is its destruction. You can’t show me a time when Israel hasn’t been subject to violence because no time exists.
Now, I’ll grant you that violence intensity ebbs and flows, but that’s not the same as violence stopping. If that last sentence is the only part on which we disagree, that would explain your stance.
