I know I’m guilty of this but how do we help educate the general public that domain names mean something?

Saw a local commercial with a .ws name and I’m in New England not Western Samoa. There was a local place with a .fr name a few months ago.

(Yes I have a .tl but I also have mattl.us and mattl.uk, also I am 99% character)
