The fact that they took the liberty of designing a block like this and did not suffer repercussions (lose hashrate) really shows the magnitude of the problem here.

Satoshi admittedly didn't factor in pooled mining when designing the protocol and it obviously resulted in centralization.

I think vnprc (nprofile…282l) with Hashpool has come up with a really good idea of how ecash could be used to issue "mining shares" and curb this problem.

This seems cool?

Imagine if the federal government stepped in and incentivized them to do this every block they mined.

Now imagine if the government paid Foundry to do the same. This is a total flex of block/hashrate control. The hashrate wars are here. Hold the line.
