The continual reference to what Satoshi said or aimed for, rather than appreciating his pragmatism, feels like a major issue. Satoshi wasn’t some type of deity, his word wasn’t the truth, he was getting a tool out there, for others to perfect. But then again, when you have Bitcoin Jesus and other thinking their fork is “Satoshi’s vision”, it is unsurprising of people from that camp end up sounding a touch religious in their views.
