Shutting down. Even if I wake up tomorrow to miraculous news, the fact remains that millions upon millions of Americans are voting for fascism today. They're voting to intensify the Othering of fellow Americans and giving support to the loudest, most vitriolic voices that call for vengeance and harm. Whatever comes next, as a country, we deserve it, even if the people on the ground don't, and shouldn't have to bear it.
