Anybody else remember the “template” feature in the Classic Mac OS Finder? It was a checkbox in a file’s Get Info window that allowed you to turn any file into a template — when opened, it would require a Save As… and prevented you from overwriting a file you’d use as a starting point.
Good times. I wonder why that got axed? Seems simple enough (I know: famous last words of a non-programmer). #Apple #ClassicMacOS #macOS
