Different classes have more sail area, but the Laser is a single-handed boat while there’s helm and crew on the skiff and multihull boats, as well as trapeze lines to help combat the sail area in reasonable or high winds. The teamwork, extra sails, and trapeze mean that the other classes are actually rather different and weight may not be a primary consideration in selecting a class to specialise in. 2/2
