Now that I’ve been out of work for a month or more, I’m starting to realise more than ever that the whole web development thing (which wasn’t by the way what I was involved in, I was more UI, well, basically doing SVG icons a lot) the whole web development thing is really some kind of, well, not exactly pyramid scheme, but some sort of religion, no, not really a religion, but some kind of superstitious cargo cult, well, not exactly that, but basically some kind of fabricated entire industry built on essentially nothing underneath, it’s hard to explain but imagine some kind of accident in nature that gave the opportunity for another life form to grow on top, but then the accident rearranges itself and removes that opportunity, and the opportunistic life form is eradicated and nobody notices that it was ever there because it shouldn’t have been and was stupid to grow there with nothing underneath
I’ll come up with a better analogy, probably (or an analogy in the first place)
