Hello good people. Before we start today’s #Zapathon, I have a question. ☺️
I was chatting with someone. And they told me they don’t like lightning and they are against it.
Their arguments are as follows:
“It is "decentralized" but not distributed at all so that defies the whole purpose,
channels can get congested since they work using hash time lock contracts which make them susceptible to attacks (read about griefing attacks)
flood and loot is another vulnerability
time dilation eclipse is another problem
and finally pinning is another vulnerability
I don't see how lightning makes bitcoin better to be honest”
I don’t know anything about these claims, how true they are, and even if they were, how much risk they carry.

They believe Libre, is a better solution to the scalability problem. (I disagree)
