If I had a more robust Zigbee network I'd be more worried about that
Most of the stuff here works over wifi instead of Zigbee, so not only do I get the benefit of not worrying about proper Zigbee repeaters, but I also get to be part of a Russian bot net.
(As a side note, yeah I have Hue switches acting as proper repeaters, I also have all the light switches covered with plates so they can't be turned off, and we don't really have all that much smart home stuff-- if it was my house it'd all be Zigbee with nothing going over wifi, but meh. With all those caveats the IoT Russian botnet joke doesn't work as well though :b)
