Current status: replacing a few incomplete github actions with curl pipe to jq to curl to tar followed by invoking the tool with exactly the options that i need and... explain to me again why I wasn't doing it this way from the start.
Why _are_ we in the habit of wrapping simple command line tools in a pile of typescript to fetch them and then invoke them via an even more terrifying pile of yaml?
