There is something about music that tweaks brain cells that (for me) don't otherwise seem to get a lot of use. When we had our german shepherd he would always come down to the basement and hang out with me as soon as he heard the first notes being played. (Probably to remind me that we hadn't played fetch in the last 5 seconds, but I like to think there was something to the music part too.)
