To come up terms that can resonate widely, we need to take a step back and think about a simple question that most people would have some kind of answer to;

What do you want the economy to do?

The growth mantra gives a very simple answer to this question; we want the economy to grow. With the assumption that more people can get a slice if the pie is larger, even if the wealthy still have the same huge slice they had before the pie grew.

So, in a word, what do we want the economy to do?
