I remember a friend's roommate telling me how hearing was a big thing in her region (Thuringia). I tried it at a cafe. It was alright, but not really my thing.
Also tried Gehacktes Braten (sp?) a few times (raw spiced pork and onions in a bread roll). It tasted alright, but I hated getting raw meat stuck in my teeth.
