I'm generally aware of why spoofing capability exists. past that, my telecom knowledge is ~20 years out of date.
if my provider can't block a known fake number - and I'll take your word for that - I'd like to intercept it via software. and as much as I shouldn't have to pay a third party to do it, on balance, it would be worth ~$100/year it to me IF it's effective.
"using [my] phone wrong" is a bit silly.
call it two wrongs, three lefts, I need a different way to make a right.
