Detached, and just started raining again so visiting roof is on hold. Checked the other side of the wall (which is inside the garage) and that's all dry so looks like water is getting in somewhere above, going down the cavity wall cavity and then being forced sideways.
I can see this will become a mess if I'm really unlucky 😟
