the idea of puritans is that they have a religious viewpoint towards what they prefer while the understanding that some progressives like Marxists have is based more on how they studied individuals and their desires, and based on their ideas like being against sex work or other forms of harmful practice which only bases around a persons physical and mental capabilities than the person themselves

Such ideas are called conservative cause they are claimed to be puritan despite the fact that Marxists do not discourage sexual relationships and more prefer that the idea of ownership towards each other is gotten rid of which creates conditions of abuse
