"content": "Yooper Crate in the Wild\n\nThis crate was designed to hold and reduce the noise of a Bitcoin miner while distributing the heat. As with most of these boxes lately, I have to give credit for the basic design to Steve Barbour. Thanks to many in the Pleb Miner Mafia. \n\nThe prices are circa early 2022. \n\nOG post from 1/31/2022 at: \u003chttps://yooperhodl.substack.com/p/yooper-crate\u003e\n\nYooper Crate Cut Out Plans (right mouse click - save image, for a legible copy)\n\n**I followed the plans and it turned out solid. Below you will find a picture journey from Start to Finish. Most shopping was done at Menards, Lowes, and Amazon. Parts list at the bottom.**\n\nCheapest, decent board I could find that had .74” actual thickness. Beware, this stuff has sharp edges and will slice your hands. Gloves required!\n\nMain screws I used for most of the assembly\n\nScrews I used when I didn’t want to break through the other side\n\nPieces all cut out on a table saw\n\nStarted with the divider wall with internal hot/cold register\n\nFigured out how the filter was going to lay in. I made the intake and outlet side the same so I can reverse flow if needed.\n\nAir Filter - Probably not my final one but something to start with. I don’t want choke out the airflow\n\nIntake/Outlet side: .75” reveal to plan for the bottom piece coverage\n\nPilot holes for the air flow cutouts\n\nBackside of Intake/ Outlet side - ready for jigsaw cutout\n\nFiguring out the duct mount\n\nIntake, Outlet, and Divider\n\nAssemble the Horizonal/ Vertical Air Flow Flanges x2\n\nFlow flanges added to the pile\n\nAttach the Asic shelf to the Divider wall\n\nAsic shelf assembly added to the pile\n\nAttach bottom to hinge side\n\nAttach Intake/ Outlet Sides\n\nAttach divider assembly. Notice small support blocks\n\nAttach Horizontal/Vertical Flow flanges. Notice support blocks\n\nFew screws into support block\n\nInternal assembly complete\n\nAdded small casters\n\nAdded handles\n\nMisc. hardware\n\nHome sweet home\n\nSound dampening: D.Y.O.R. - I used 4 layers of old bath towel on each surface and the compressed air staple gun was key\n\nWindow seal for around the top\n\nD.Y.O.R. - Mounted some drywall for a little fire protection\n\nWindow intake/ outlet for ducting\n\nFlexible ducting\n\nPicking a spot for my 220v - Hire a professional unless you absolutely know what you are doing\n\nCustom Cover\n\nNot my best work, but all set for an S19JPro\n\nS19JPro Overclocked\n\n75.7 DB with top open and fans at 77%\n\n47.5 DB with top closed at 45% (bringing in cold U.P. air on intake side).
