This amazing photo was taken by David Canales in the Prince William Sound area of Alaska. A seagull was trying to save her friend from the clutches of an eagle, having been injured by a dog attack.
Despite the remarkable difference in wingspan and strength, the brave gull finally saved her friend from the clutches of the predator, by chasing and pecking fearlessly at the eagle's back, which ended up releasing its prey. It looks like a story straight out of Aesop's Fables.
