While the numbers of EVs purchased will increase quickly and will have an effect on emissions, the pace of replacement will still mean most cars on the road in 10 years will still be ICE. This is because most people in Australia can afford a new car rarely in their life, they have a series of used cars generally and so will not get an opportunity to buy an EV for many years. Faster change will IMO require govt subsidies.
