The capitalist concept of everyone having to have the most of everything they can get is simply wrong, as well as unsustainable. Even businesses don't "need" to grow beyond a local market. It's pure greed. It prevents other people in other local markets from making a living. and it needs to stop. And Wall St has a plantation mentality that tries to take up every minute they can of your time as employees, even time they're not paying for. It prevents people from developing gardens, skills, and interests that are far more sustainable than predatory capitalism - which imbeds the idea that the old, disabled, and poor have no value because they don't "work," and should not be supported. The real value is in community and relationships with all ages and abilities, not just those that capitalists can exploit. Wellness is completely ignored in western society, as if it has nothing to do with a functional sustainable "market." But of course it does. A lot.
