Where I take issue is that you say you don't log IPs by default, but you will log IPs on request from authorities. I consider that a betrayal when your business promises privacy and security. Did you even fight the "request" at all?
It's like hiring a body guard to protect you, but they run and hide as soon as things get dangerous.
