You're absolutely right. In the earliest version of Keychat, we had four separate buttons: Send, Receive, Mint (to convert LN sats into ecash sats), and Melt (to convert ecash sats back into LN sats).
In the newer version, we streamlined the experience by moving “Mint” under the Receive flow and “Melt” under the Send flow. This shift was intentional — we wanted to de-emphasize the idea of "minting" and present it more as a purchase: you're using LN sats to buy ecash sats.
That said, when I wrote that previous note, I slipped back into the old way of thinking — referring to it as “minting” again. I realize now that could be confusing.
