The UK government will consider if Islamist militant group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham should still be designated a terrorist organisation after the rebels led the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad in Syria, said a minister.

Pat McFadden told the BBC the situation in the country was "very fluid" and if it stabilised any change in the ban would be a "relatively swift decision".
