had a call around 11:15am about a position I applied to at my old employer last week
I worked there for several years; great company culture, with better benefits
they’re a publically traded company; that’s all I’ll say
the guy I’d be reporting to has been with the company for 20+ years, and said he’d looked at over 60 resumes for the position; but I had worked in-parallel to him before (same office space, different teams)
they scheduled and had the interview *today*
it went well 🤞 should hear soon one way or the other
moral of the story:
NEVER burn your bridges
you’ll never know who you’ll run into again down the road

I work in the public sector (Oof); I left my cushy private sector job for it, that paid out equity bonuses every year (Oof); the project I’m on is going through early closeout due to budget concerns (Oof); I’ve been applying to jobs both public and private for 4+ months now, with just one interview (Oof); my partner’s position was terminated just this Monday (BIG Oof); and my term contract expires March 31st…
Oof.
if anyone is in need of a:
- technical writer/
- data analyst/
- compliance analyst,
please let them know a hardworking family man is in need of a job 🙏
thank you 💜
