A very unexpected takeaway from this episode the meaning of the Jewish word ‘Dayenu’ meaning “it would have been enough”. It is a response to God when He brought Israel out of Egyptian slavery and that that alone would have been enough, But God not only released them, but was leading them to the promise land, to their inheritance, gave them the Law and sustained them in their journey despite their rebellion in the wilderness.
