Years ago, when I was on what used to be called Twitter, I deleted my original accounts because they had become unwieldy. I had hundreds of followers & followed likewise; I couldn't keep up.
Many people had thousands. I wondered why people were so *desperate* for numbers. It wasn't hard; the shallower the pool the bigger the follow count - unless they were a 'celebrity' then it tended to be somewhat inverse.
I don't do numbers.
