No idea why I’m like this, and I’d never cook this way for anyone else, but there are some foods that I love to eat burnt.
For example, I made myself a snack from my childhood: block sharp cheddar sliced into thick cuts, arranged on a piece of White bread and melted while toasting. I intentionally overcooked the toast on one side because I love the taste of that slightly burnt bread.
