My lunch for today: taro root! (Sato imo 里芋). Along the road to Mageoksa Temple in Gongju are vegetable vendors. One of them was selling taro, something rarely seen in Korean supermarkets! She gave me a whole bag full for ₩5,000! ☺️ In Japan we used to eat these all the time in dango jiru soup, stews & different kaiseki dishes. I can't wait to revisit this gentle, easy-to-digest food!
