#090 - Inflation

The "Inflation" card is an Instant Action card, costs nothing to play, and increments the game's Bitcoin (to Fiat) Exchange Rate by 1 Fiat.



Our game's Bitcoin Exchange Rate governs how much Fiat you can exchange 1 Bitcoin for, or vice-a-versa. This value is also used in some other calculations where Fiat is involved. Various cards like this one can manipulate the exchange rate either up or down.

Rarity: The "Inflation" card is Common in the Core 2025 card set because, let's face it, Fiat monetary inflation is incredibly common these days. These should pull frequently from starter decks and booster packs so you'll probably have plenty to play with and trade.



The "Inflation" card is of the Instant Action type. Instant Actions' Effects resolve immediately upon playing them, unless they are responded to by another Instant Action card.



Strategy: The "Inflation" card manipulates the Bitcoin Exchange Rate making both Bitcoin and many other costs more expensive in Fiat terms, so this card is very useful in creating a Bitcoin-favorable environment for decks that focus on Bitcoin and minimize use of Fiat.

In short, the "Inflation" card can be very useful in manipulating the game environment to favor Bitcoin strategies and hurt Fiat strategies.
