The bottom dropped out of the cruise industry when the pandemic hit—but here’s the weird thing:
If they’d gone in hard for disease control (testing, quarantines, etc) and emphasized long-term cruises, they could have easily marketed their ships as safe, disease-free zones. Instead of Covid killing their business, they could have profited from it.
This ploy seems so obvious that I can only conclude it didn’t happen bc they are incapable of making their ships disease-free.
