This is literally not true. Your sources for these things are random tweets without citations. The actual data says otherwise.

I know I said that there's a carbon cycle, but there's really two. A short term cycle that is mostly photosynthesis and cellular respiration, as well as a long term cycle that is mostly the transformation of carbon into rocks that traps it in the earth and the volcanic activity that periodically releases it.
The problem with the use of fossil fuels is that it pulls carbon that based on the natural process, wouldn't be released for millions—maybe billions—of years (i.e. the next time a tectonic plate is active under a major oil field), and spits it out into the Earth's atmosphere over just a few decades. These are oil fields that took hundreds of millions of years to form.
This doesn't mean that it's all bad news. It just means that we are going to make a change to the Earth's climate and we need to act to mitigate negative consequences.
