There was a line in the radio version of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy that pops in my head when I think about AI ruining the web with chatbots and such, and it is something like, "But there aren't any real people here at all!"

I believe Ford and Arthur were at a party but it turned out no one there was actually real or something like that. I forget the exact circumstances - there are so many version of HHGTTG and they all kind of blur together.
