I'm planning to go out and fly a model airplane today for the first time in about 2.5 years. Yikes! My hobbies have suffered after moving and starting a new job. I took the day off work today. Under the surface there is a teensy-based flight control computer and autopilot that I mostly wrote myself from scratch and have been wrenching on a lot the last two summers, but all the pieces haven't been able to come together enough for me to plausibly think it's ready for a real flight test until this month. So today's test will either be boring if enough stuff works to circle hold for an hour ... or it will be short because I forgot something important, like rubber bands to hold on the wing or the propeller.
