I'll be honest with you. I was once environmentally ignorant - as many unreflectively are. I wasn't a "science person" either so things like biology simply weren't interacted with. Nature was just "green stuff".

In later life, however, "green stuff" (that is, LIFE) became profound to me. When you learn about how a forest comes to exist, what it involves, and the networks of biological interrelations, its something life-changing.

Nature isn't just stuff. Its ALIVE.
