🙅♂️ A group of Mc Donalds shareholders want the company to create a Bitcoin reserve, but the fast food chain says NO!
The National Center for Public Policy, a conservative think tank and McDonalds shareholder, had asked the company in a letter to consider a BTC reserve.
"As more and more companies integrate Bitcoin into their balance sheets, if McDonalds doesn't follow suit, it will lose ground where it was once a leader."
According to an SEC filing, the company does not wish to discuss a proposal to purchase Bitcoin at an upcoming shareholder meeting in May.
The SEC agreed that McDonalds was within its rights to avoid discussing the proposal.
As a reminder, Microsoft shareholders had voted against such an initiative.
