It is deeply frustrating to me on an ideological level that neither Plex nor Apple Home work without an Internet connection. Plex, what are you doing? Why did you add an external Internet dependency to streaming files from the next room? Apple, you're killing me. You make sure to have a home controller device in the building, but it can't be directly controlled from the same network?
This post is not just a rant. Do you know One Weird Trick to work around these silly accidental limitations? Please tell me the solution?
