i've been photographed so many times by people i don't think were trying to understand the moment from my perspective at all and it was really off-putting to be photographed by them.
the end result is a photo of the person they're looking at, and yet.. they're not seeing them in that moment at all. looking past, not into. not quite looking close enough.
