This definitely depends on the situation. I am more active (currently) on XMPP & Matrix (of the three you explicitly listed). This said, I probably *actually* use iMessage, Mastodon & Discord the most still. Those those are far more situational. iMessage:for people I know, Mastodon:not ideal for RTC, Discord:Trying to move away from because I dislike.
